Pix is now the default way to pay online in Brazil for many shoppers, and most payment providers make it easy to switch on. Switching it on well takes a little more thought.
Desktop and phone are different journeys
On a computer, people scan the QR code with their phone. On a phone, they copy the code and switch to the bank app. Show the QR code large on desktop, and put a big “copy code” button first on mobile.
Say how long they have
Payment codes expire. Show the time left, and tell people what happens if it runs out: does the order wait, or do they start again?
Confirm loudly
The moment the payment arrives, the page should change by itself — no refresh. People screenshot that confirmation, so include the order number and what happens next.
Keep the other options
Cards still matter for instalments, and international customers cannot use Pix at all. Offer both, with Pix first for Brazilian addresses.
